This textbook for graduate mechanical engineering students covers mechatronics in the Dutch high-technology business, applied physics in mechatronic systems, dynamics of motion systems, motion control, electromechanical actuators, analogue electronics in mechatronic systems, optics, measurement, and precision positioning in wafer scanners. Students from other fields have been taking courses based on the first edition, so the second adds some basic mechanics to help them.
