<div><div>Learning on practice placement is a crucial part of social work education at pre-qualifying level and plays an increasingly central role in professional development. This new text provides students, practitioners and their assessors with an understanding of: how people learn best in the workplace; what principles are involved in work-based teaching and assessment and what the impact of these is on learning processes and outcomes; and how other disciplines contribute to work-based learning.
