In this book readers are introduced to the topic of sexuality by considering the diversity of sexualities from a variety of perspectives. This enables them to explore issues related to sexuality and sexual orientation and highlights the implications for social work assessment and intervention for a range of service users. Recent legislation and policies are incorporated which, as well as altering the context of sexuality and sexual orientation, have significant implications for social work practice. Issues of sexuality across the life course are considered including sexual orientation, disability, HIV, sexual abuse, mental health and sexual violence.
