The fourth edition of this textbook on the applications of heat flow through opaque solids has been expanded to include new chapters on heat conduction with both local heat sources and phase change. Yener (Northeastern U.) and Kakaç (TOBB U. of Economics and Technology, Turkey) have written this book to complement a course in heat conduction for engineering students in the field of mechanical engineering and thermal sciences.
