Alexander van Slobbe is one of the most versatile Dutch designers. He achieved international success with his labels Orson & Bodil (founded in 1989), SO (1993-2003) and orson + bodil (from 2003). His designs stand out through an innovative use of construction and materials.<BR><BR>After two decades of designing, now there is a book to which many people have contributed, who together add up to far more than the sum of the parts. Alexander van Slobbe, and... and... and... brings together a wide range of perspectives. The story of Van Slobbe himself as leitmotif, which touches on themes that are elaborated upon in essays and interviews, such as the relationship between fashion design and art, developments in the international fashion world and the quest for craftsmanship.
