Based on his applied theology model, Whitfield (a retired UK Baptist minister, University chaplain, and psychotherapist) headed a football/conflict prevention project in which people of several communities and faiths miraculously cooperated in sponsoring mixed Israeli and Palestinian youth sports teams in the Galilee from 2001-2003.
