European and American scientists in psycholinguistics address core findings, assumptions, problems, hopes, and future guidelines concerning the use of advanced research techniques such as eyetracking and event related potentials (ERP), which have been used to investigate the cognitive mechanisms and processes involved in comprehending and producing language.
