Crow and Smykla (justice studies, U. of West Florida) provide upper-level undergraduate and graduate students in criminal justice and criminology with a textbook on offender reentry. Criminologists, sociologists, and others from the US contribute 17 chapters that address parole and reentry, implementing reentry reform at a correctional facility, prison work, jail reentry, recidivism among reentry program participants in jails, state resources, the role of community supervision officers, employment, network relationships, offenders with special needs, juvenile reentry programs, evaluating programs, offender perceptions, and the sustainability of the prisoner reentry movement.
