Editor Mahner (Center for Inquiry-Europe) selected papers by Bunge (logic and metaphysics, McGill U.) that give a panorama of the philosophical system the physicist and thinker has developed over the course of 50 years. The system is anchored in scientific realism and materialism and so is also an instance of philosophical naturalism. Some of the papers (written between 1954 and 1999) are likely to be accessible to all readers, while others make use of such formal tools as mathematical logic and set theory.
