Lehman et al. (education, Ohio State U.) provide a guide for K-8 teachers, librarians, and reading coordinators that shows how to use global literature to help students expand their world view while developing respect for cultural diversity. They describe the importance of a global perspective and the value of children's global literature, including how it benefits cognitive, emotional, moral, and social development.
