This atlas by Strittmatter (chief instructor, German Academy of Acupuncture) is intended to serve as a beginner's guide (or practitioner's quick reference) to ear acupuncture as it has developed in Europe since its introduction by the French physician Paul Nogier some 50 years ago and further refinement through the work of Dr. Frank Bahr. It contains some 260 line drawings indicating both reflex points on the ear that auriculotherapists have found to correspond to the various organs of the body, as well as the functional points that are believed to influence the entire system.
