Furman, an art therapist who teaches at the School of Visual Arts and Albertus Magnus College and clinical coordinator in psychiatric, educational, and community-based programs with children, adults, and families, offers a guide for art therapists and graduate students that addresses ethical issues relating to sexuality, cognitively impaired clients, the electronic transmission of confidential information and artwork, exchanging gifts, physical contact, and spirituality. She also reviews key concepts in ethical decisions.
