Program of the War Manpower Commission of 1940, to increase production of war materials through standardized training. This is the program that ensured Allied victory through efficient production of arms and armaments. Later used to successfully rebuild Japan after World War II. The program was so successful that Toyota Motors used it as the basis for their entire production philosophy, the Toyota Production System (TPS). TPS is the envy of all American business for low cost, high quality goods.
