Although many people with learning disabilities require support in the areas of intimate and personal care, there is a lack of clear guidance and policy relating to its provision. Containing 12 contributions by academics and practitioners, this volume examines key aspects of the planning and delivery of this type of care. Sample topics include promoting independence for adults with mild learning disabilities; responding to inappropriate sexual behavior during intimate and personal care; and providing care for older people with learning disabilities.
