These 116 drawings by Rembrandt (1606-1669), considered his finest, are reproduced from ten rare portfolios of facsimiles published between 1888 and 1911. They include figure studies, self-portraits, and landscapes. The captions accompanying each work, many shown actual size, include its original dimensions and the catalog number of Benesch's authoritative The Drawings of Rembrandt, A Critical and Chronological Catalogue (London, 1954-57; 1973).
