The authors (the principals of Work Ethic, a Texas-based executive coaching firm) note that while the leadership qualities of alpha males can provide great benefits to an organization, they also carry significant risks. In this work they describe the benefits and risks of four different styles of alpha male leadership: the commander, the visionary, the strategist, and the executor.
