Dubin uses his own personal and professional experiences to describe bullying that those with Asperger Syndrome deal with and how it affects their lives. He begins with a description of his own experiences being bullied, and discusses why children on the autism spectrum are vulnerable. Strategies for coping are outlined, for victims, bystanders, teachers, parents, and schools. An additional chapter addresses understanding bullies, and an interview with his parents about their experiences is provided. Dubin, who was diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome in 2004, is currently pursuing a doctorate in psychology from the Michigan School of Professional Psychology.
