The book focuses on leisure programming for all sizes of organizations, presenting principles of arts and cultural programming to plan, design, manage, and evaluate events. Organization is in three main parts: an orientation to arts and cultural programming, applying program theory to practice, and arts and cultural programs in context. Each part includes several chapters on topics such as festivals, special events, museums, performing and community arts, program marketing, economics, evaluating, and cultivating program audiences.
