In their introduction to 15 provocative viewpoints on the 9/11 attacks and the U.S. response, Barrett (with Khidria, a nonprofit Islamic socio-environmental awareness organization) and Christian and Jewish theologists argue that each of these religions has its own sometimes discomforting reasons for its spin on official versions of 9/11. Less controversially, they contend that adherents of these faiths need to pursue the truth consistent with the ethics of their respective traditions.
