Public relations consultants Dittmer and McFarland (both journalism, Indiana U.) warn readers not to try to swallow all 151 at once, but to nibble here and there, now and then. Pick out particularly helpful ones to go back to often, they suggest, but also reread the whole book every 90 days or so. Among the ideas are envisioning what you want from your relationships, do not be a cynic, pat others on the back, and start from a point of commonality.
