Treating offenders entails working with people often characterized by hate and troubled histories, and dealing with one's own anxieties. Aiyegbusi and Clark-Moore, consultant nurses in forensic mental health services (UK), introduce 16 contributions from a psychodynamic framework to working with such patients. Through clinical examples, authors discuss the emotional- relational aspects of working with/in specific populations/settings: e.g., women, patients with personality disorders, and those in high security settings.
