Featuring a wealth of b&w historical photos from personal collections, this work presents profiles and first-person stories of 18 pilots who fought the Battle of Britain during July through October in 1940. The pilots whose stories are told represent a microcosm of Fighter Command in 1940, all between the ages of 18 and 28 at the time, and include regulars, professionals, airmen, auxiliaries, and volunteer reservists.
