Remy (English literature and art history, U. of Nice) chronologically explores the growth of the British surrealist movement from the 1936 International Surrealist Exhibition in London to the present day. Looking at the work of writers, painters, critics, and theorists, he identifies some 40 poets and artists that have participated in the movement.
