The prevent-teach-reinforce (PTR) model, based on the positive behavior support approach, can be used with students with and without disabilities. This book/CD-ROM package guides school-based teams through the PTR process and will help K-8 teachers solve classroom behavior challenges. The book offers a five-step plan for reducing behavior problems and increasing social skills and academic engagement, composed of the steps of team building, goal setting and data collection, assessment, intervention, and evaluation of the PTR intervention. The book supplies numerous surveys, forms, comparison sheets, checklists, and intervention plans, which are also included on the CD-ROM.
