This title is arranged with an introductory section on marine biomes followed by chapters on coast, continental shelf, and deep sea biomes. Each of the chapters contains an overview of the biome on a global scale followed by selected regional examples. Woodward (retired, biogeography and physical geography, Radford U.) includes a glossary of terms and prefers to not use Latin names in the text, though she concludes each chapter with a concordance of English and Latin terminology.
