Affiliated most recently with Mount Sinai School of Medicine and active in private practice, Dr. Woo has focused his career as an otolaryngologist on the diagnosis and treatment of diseases involved with the voice and throat. He has delighted in the technology that allows visualization of the vocal folds in action and has developed technological advancements in that arena as well as novel applications of lasers for treatment. With this text he offers his expertise, beginning with the basics of vocal fold anatomy and histology, function, and physiology, and covering the clinical examination and the stroboscopy laboratory.
