This eclectic mix of papers and reports, some of which come from Africa, South America and Europe, includes research and opinion on the stuff we have deposited in the oceans. Four short commentaries describe deep-sea vent mining, research employing Venezuelan bivalves, acid-enhanced harmful algal blooms, and the use of sediment as a methods for managing eutrophic lagoons.
