Growing evidence suggests a strong link between inflammatory processes and oncogenesis, according to Kozlov (National Cancer Institute), which has naturally led to increased medical interest in the infection-inflammation-cancer axis on a molecular level, as well as the search for novel markers that, once targeted, can selectively restrain the oncogenic drift triggered by inflammation. This volume contains 16 papers describing methodologies for examining both these areas.
