Wong (a research fellow at the Centre for Defense and Security Studies, Canada) and Fergusson (director, Centre for Defense and Security Studies, Canada) conduct an analysis of military uses of space now and in the future. They describe the general science and technology of outer space exploration and utilization and then discuss the development of space systems that have the purpose of enhancing the application of territorial military force. Finally they present a survey of military thinking concerning space surveillance and other passive measures of space warfare, as well as issues of active force application.
