This book/CD-ROM resource presents a complete curriculum of 36 one-hour health education lessons and illustrated, reproducible handouts, plus 22 supplementary lifelong learning lessons on self-advocacy and health issues, to help adults with intellectual disabilities make good choices about health, exercise, and nutrition. Each lesson contains objectives, handouts, suggested activities and instructor scripts, and field trip ideas. There is also advice on starting and running the program. An appendix section contains weekly newsletter templates, a glossary, three sample exercise workouts, and a testing procedure manual of sample data collection and assessment forms.
