Blake (physics, U. of Queensland, Australia) and Robson's (physics and meteorology, James Cook U., Townsville, and Australian National U., Canberra) textbook provides a theoretical and practical grounding in meteorology, with an emphasis on phenomena in the boundary layer. The theoretical component is based on a 40-lecture course for senior undergraduate- and graduate-level students comparable to the Australian Bureau of Meteorology graduate training course for weather forecasters.
