This guide to nursing education theory, research, and its application in the classroom is for academic nurse educators, for nurses preparing for the certified nurse educator (CNE) exam, and for graduate nursing education students. Material is focused on the National League for Nursing's eight core competencies for academic nurse educators. The first chapter provides an overview of the competencies and looks at the role functions of teacher, scholar, and collaborator.
