Boxes highlight communicating with patients, ethnocultural considerations, family teaching guidelines, nursing care plans, and case studies. Procedure boxes give step-by-step instructions for common procedures and include examples of documentation. Each chapter concludes with visual chapter summaries and concept maps, NCLEX-style review questions, case studies, exercises in clinical decision-making, and anatomy and physiology review questions. Color photos and anatomical illustrations are included. The CD-ROM contains interactive exercises, 31 case studies, and nursing care plans and and family teaching guidelines from the book, as well as NCLEX-style review questions.
