While imprisoned by the Nazis at the Dachau-Kaufering concentration camp, members of the Irgun Brith Zion somehow managed to continue to publish an underground Hebrew-language journal, Nitzotz (Spark), in which they debated Zionist politics and plans for the post-war period. This volume, put together by the granddaughter of Shlomo Frenkel Shafir, the editor of Nitzotz, contains English translations of issues 3-7 of Nitzotz, prefaced by an introductory analytical essay on the journal's production and legacy.
