On March 4, 1993, Jim Valvano stepped on to the stage at the ESPY Awards to accept the Arthur Ashe award. Cancer had aggressively taken over his body, he could barely make it to the podium, and all anyone expected was a quiet "thank you." </p> <p> Instead, Jimmy V delivered an 11-mintue speech that inspired a movement, changed the lives of thousands, and lives in the hearts of people everywhere. It was also a speech that, in the midst of Jimmy's enthusiasm, elegantly touched on seven lessons by which he lived his life.
