This volume collects 18 papers representative of the work of German philosopher Kuno Lorenz. Half of the papers concern themselves with philosophical logic and the philosophy of language, discussing such topics as pragmatic and semiotic prerequisites for predication, intentionality and its language-dependency, features of Indian logic, and mediation between intuitionistic and two-valued logic. The other half explore issues of methods in philosophy, art, and science, including "construction" versus "description" in the philosophy of science, methodological dualism, and procedural principles of the Erlangen constructivist school of epistemology.
