This three-volume set deals with pivotal events, issues, and controversies related to the global status of women, with chapters addressing reproductive rights, sexual slavery, harassment, forced marriage, mortality in birthing, domestic violence and rape, job discrimination, pay inequities, and women in leadership positions. Rather surprisingly for a work that claims worldwide coverage, only a three of the 54 contributors are affiliated with universities or institutions outside the U.S. Despite this shortcoming, Feminism and Women's Rights Worldwide is a valuable resource and a significant contribution to feminist scholarship.
