He integrates his own color photos of the areas throughout the book, which also describes techniques to use when photographing thermal features, waterfalls, scenery, wildlife and wildflowers, and Yellowstone and the Tetons in autumn and winter. He does not cover the basic artistic and technical aspects of nature photography. Maps are included, and there is a bit of discussion of lodging, park entrances, and facilities. There is no index.
