The authors, veteran wildlife and conservation researchers working in Africa, present accounts of the natural history of Uganda's six forest parks, with details on physical and biological characteristics, animal and plant species, and management issues and practices. Examples show how conservation research has supported forest conservation in these regions. The book draws mainly on peer-reviewed publications, and also gleans information from theses, field notes, and documents written by the Uganda Wildlife Authority.
