The series is intended to promote the use of Geographical Information Systems (GIS) in agriculture by providing a venue for practitioners and researchers to share their knowledge and experience with each other and with others in the industry who might consider the approach. Volumes will appear periodically as need and resources allow, and of course depending on the weather. In the first volume, contributors from GIS and from agriculture discuss such topics as managing nitrogen in sugar beet using remote sensing and GIS, developing productivity zones from multiple years of yield monitor data, and assessing variable-depth tillage.
