In this product of the APA's Psychology Education Research Training (PERT) program for young scholars, Dinella (Gender Development Laboratory, Monmouth U.) introduces nine contributions that walk newer researchers through the process of conducting school-based research. In collaboration with education professionals, the PERT researchers (including the editor) investigated areas including working with school stakeholders, monitoring the implementation of school-based programs, integrating community perspectives into prevention science, and bridging theory to practice by disseminating findings to diverse audiences.
