Saturdays and Sundays are very special days for the child in this story. On Saturdays, she visits Grandma and Grandpa, who come from a European-American background, and on Sundays -- <I>los domingos --</i> she visits <I>Abuelito y Abuelita,</i> who are Mexican-American.
