For those involved in academia or soon to be administrators, Pascarella (higher education, U. of Iowa) and Terenzini (Center for the Study of Higher Education, Pennsylvania State University) present the second volume of their extensive research on the effect college has on students. The authors review the previous volume's findings in 1991, and discuss theories about student change. They explain the six questions asked for each category of change, which includes cognitive development and skills, ability, and growth. Psychosocial growth is investigated, in terms of attitudes, identity, social and political perspectives, religion, morals, economics, motivation and goals, and career.
