Originating as a catalog for the 1995-1996 exhibit at the Old State House Museum in Little Rock, this book now accompanies the expanded exhibit called Our Own Sweet Sounds II . It contains a history of popular music in Arkansas, encompassing folksongs, fiddlers, radio, the blues, jazz, western swing, gospel, country, and rock and roll. The new edition adds about 70 individual artists to the text, and the last section has expanded biographical and musical information on 33 of them.
