Practitioner Pfeil gives librarians a short course in marketing their services, covering theories, methods and materials, outreach (including online), presentations, and tracking the results. She notes that librarians who go out into the community with professional-quality presentations and materials (including the aforesaid logos and mascots) that market libraries as attractions seem to have good results, as she shows in several case studies, but also shows how much is too much.
