Issuing a passionate denunciation of all those who don't conform to an orthodox, rigidly hierarchical conception of Catholicism, Rose (former editor of the St. Catherine Review ) blames liberals and "humanistic" philosophy in the Catholic seminary system for all the ills of the Catholic Church. A major target of his wrath is what he views as a rampant homosexuality and permissiveness towards sexuality in general that he feels is undermining the sacred mission of the church.
