Here is a large format (12x11") celebration of the largely unspoiled corridor of some 2,000 miles varying from 125 to 500 miles in width and containing 460,000 square miles running from Cokeville, Wyoming to the Arctic Circle. Schulz is a German photographer of remarkable skill. It is rare to see 24-inch spreads that give the impression of the distances one sees when on-site, yet Schulz and the designer have accomplished this. Some 200 color photos of the land, flora, and fauna, and a little of the human threat to the country were made during 10 years of practicing the Jobian patience required of the nature photographer. An eloquent plea for conservation of the land and for support of the Y2Y Network, 200 entities working to that goal. Contributors include Rick Bass, David Quammen, David Suzuki, and Ted Kerasote.
