Rosenne presents a revised and updated version of the "General Course in Public International Law" which the author delivered at the Hague Academy of International Law in 2001. The General Course was previously published in volume 291 of the Recueil des cours/Collected Courses of the Hague Academy under the title, The Perplexities of Modern International Law . The new version features additional materials on the protection and preservation of the marine environment, and on marine archaeology; the protection of the space (air, outer, cyber) environment; and, in the section concerning the UN system, new material on international meetings and conferences, and the international civil service.
