For this second edition of an undergraduate text, Lial (American River College) has added boxes on technology connections, activities that use everyday items to explain different theorems, and chapter learning objectives. Also new are three cumulative reviews, writing exercises, and an introduction to flowchart proofs. Less emphasis is placed in this edition on developing proofs of numbered theorems. The text is designed for college students with no previous experience with plane Euclidean geometry. A background in introductory algebra and a scientific calculator are the only prerequisites.
