Arguing that the notion that being environmentally responsible is injurious to profitability is a myth, management consultant Gordon presents examples and advice of how corporations can institute various "green" measures and increase profits. Twenty examples of environmental programs include Polaroid's efforts to reduce waste in the manufacturing process, Agilent Technologies' attempts to use less electricity, and the strategy of Texas Instruments to reduce the use of hazardous chemicals in its products. The advice is aimed at corporate managers and, for the most part, suggests that managers should work towards environmental responsibility by stressing the savings that could be accrued.
